Operatives of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Adeniji-Adele Annex, have busted a two-man robbery gang, operating on, Ikotun and Igando areas of Lagos State. The robbery suspects – Sunkanmi Emmanuel, aka Federal, 30 and 28-year-old Ahmed Agunbiade, aka Omojoyibo – were arrested while they were reportedly going for a robbery operation. It was learnt that the suspects are experts in robbing club goers of their belongings, including motorcycles in the communities. One other man with the name Ogunsanya, aka Dotman, was also arrested for buying stolen phones and motorcycles from the suspect while a commercial motorcycle rider, Nurudeen Agbeyewo, was nabbed for allegedly taking Federal and Omojoyinbo for operations. Reports have it that a Nigerian man identified as Ugochukwu has been arrested by security agencies in Malawi.  Sources has it that the suspect was apprehended today after a 28-year-old Malawian woman alleged to be his lover was arrested at an  International Airport in Malawi where she went to collect a package containing hard drugs. Police have revealed the lady as Josephine Jumbe, a business lady based at Area 25 in Lilongwe. The package containing cocaine belong to a Bolivian woman identified as Julia Cale Kentaholder. According to a police report,  a owner of passport no 8837259 from Bolivia (South America) arrived in Malawi through the International Airport but her luggage was left behind. “Then on Tuesday the luggage arrived and Jumbe went to KIA to collect on her behalf. That’s when she was caught at security checkpoint with bag containing illicit drugs suspected to be cocaine,” says the report. It adds that the Bolivian woman is believed to be recently based in Mozambique.

  According to Fox News, an Amedican woman from Maryland, was stabbed to death after she stopped her car to give money to a needy woman who was holding a sign that read,  “Please help me feed my baby,”  police said. Jacquelyn Smith, 52, was murdered   while she was in her automobile with two other relatives in Baltimore after returning from a family meeting, FOX Baltimore reported. Smith was in the front seat of the car, when she saw a lady who was holding a baby and a cardboard sign asking for help. “This was a good Samaritan who saw an individual holding a sign, who appeared to be down on her luck,”  said Jeremy Silbert, Baltimore police’s public information officer.  “So, they stopped the car and gave her money.” After Smith rolled down her window, a mysterious man approached their vehicle to thank her for her kindness, police said. Her lawyers insisted the killing was not intentional and said that Thomas only killed her boyfriend, after collapsing on top of him on the effect of being drunk. After Butler’s death, an autopsy ruled he had died of  ‘respiratory insufficiency secondary to blunt force trauma to the neck and thoracic compression, exacerbated by blunt force trauma to the head.’ After the incident Thomas dialed 911  screamed ‘I killed my boyfriend.’ the police who arrived the scene found a table leg covered with Butler's blood.

  Uniformed men in Lagos, reportedly beat up a couple and their daughter, which left passersby surprised. The uniformed men beat up Taiwo John, his wife, Omonike and their daughter just because he mistakenly blocked their path. It was reported that about 30 uniformed men invaded the community over land dispute, With no name tags. The land dispute, sources said, was still in court. Taiwo told News sources, that he was only standing in front of his house when the incident happened. “I was standing in front of my house at Idowu Ogunde Street this morning (yesterday) when I saw about nine uniformed men coming. At a Mall in Lagos, an eye witness recorded on his phone, the moment a man hit a lady with his head – there had been a clash between the both before they were then recorded on camera, with the man almost stripping her naked. The reason for the ugly incident wasn't revealed, as the eye witness who had approached the man stated that he didn’t give details why he was hitting the lady, but only gave a hint that she was the one who attacked him first and that angered him to react.

     The rate of murder and ritual killings in Delta state seems to be on the rise as residents are calling on the government to do something to stop the menace.  An elderly woman narrowly escaped death, after she was attacked by a mysterious man on her way to farm in Sapele area of Delta state. The widow was on her way to the farm, when the ugly incident happened, It was reported that her attacker used a plank to hit her before striking her with his  machete. According to a reporter, after striking the woman down, the attacker made an attempt to behead her, before she raised an alarm and screamed for help. Her scream made the attacker to flee and abandon his mission due to fear, as she sustained an injury on her face following the first machete strike.  It was later reported that the appropriate authorities in charge of security in the area were already informed about the incident, but allegedly asked the old woman to bring N15,000 so that they can arrest the suspect.
