  The  New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) has announced it has taken the extraordinary move of opening an inquiry into the removal of President Trump's personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani from its membership. According to an NYSBA statement, on Monday, January 11, the organization received hundreds of complaints in recent months regarding Giuliani's efforts to challenge the veracity of the 2020 presidential election on the President's behalf.     The organization also feels Guilani's actions and words also spurred Trump supporters to invade the Capitol on Jan. 6, according to the statement. Even if the NYSBA removes his memebership, they cannot dibar him as the organization is a voluntary bar association, so the ousting would not prevent him from representing President Trump in an impeachment trial or other pending litigation against him.     "This decision is historic for NYSBA, and we have not made it lightly.   Multiple reports in US media are stating that democrats have drafted the single article for US President Donald Trump's impeachment which will be formally introduced on Monday January 11.   To succeed, two-thirds of senators would have to vote to impeach him. The impeachment article already has 180 co-sponsors as of Saturday afternoon.   The article reads in part; "In all of this, President Trump gravely endangered the security of the United States government. He threatened the integrity of the democratic system, interfered with the peaceful transfer of power, and imperiled a coordinate branch of government. “He thereby betrayed his trust as president, to the manifest injury of the people of the United States. Wherefore, President Trump, by such conduct, has demonstrated that he will remain a threat to national security, democracy, and the Constitution if allowed to remain in office, and has acted in a manner grossly incompatible with self-governance and the rule of law...

  Donald Trump has said he will not attend Joe Biden's inauguration come January 20.   Hours after finally promising a peaceful transition of power, Trump took to Twitter to write: "To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th."     There have been discussions at the White House about Trump leaving Washington on Jan. 19, a source familiar with the matter said. He is expected to travel to his Florida resourt, the source said.   Trump will be the first incumbent president since Andrew Johnson to skip his successor's inauguration.

  President Donald Trump has taken to Twitter to ask his supporters to “stay peaceful” after they stormed the U.S. Capitol building and violently clashed with police in an attempt to stop President-elect Joe Biden's certification.      Vice President Pence, who was in the Capitol when the building was breached, tweeted for an end to violence and for people to respect law enforcement and leave the building.    “The violence and destruction taking place at the US Capitol Must Stop and it Must Stop Now. News host Neil Cavuto defended himself and his network after a series of attacks from the US President Donald Trump. At the beginning of this week, Trump raised a complaint about his coverage on the network and stated that "Fox isn't working for us anymore!" encouraged his supporters to change the channel.  But Cavuto fired back with a declaration of independence.
