SAD! REGGAE ICON, RAS KIMONO, REPORTED DEAD.


The reggae legend, Who stormed the limelight in 1989, Died Sunday at Lagoon hospital, Victoria Island, Lagos, He was aged 60.

   His demise was confirmed by former COSON chairman, Tony Okoroji.

  The singer who was scheduled to travel to the US last night was on his way to the airport when he complained of uneasiness.

  His death came as a shock to friends, Family and loved ones.

  Okwudili Onwubuya, Kimono was very popular in the late eighties and nineties, He was a jolly good fellow whose love for reggae music was unrivalled.

  Back in the days, He would hangout in Japex studio, a popular reggae spot in Anthony village.

   There he usually watch his favorite reggae artists perform and was soon given the chance to hold the microphone.
