WIFE IN COURT FOR ALLEGEDLY POURING HOT WATER ON HUSBAND.


A 32-year-old woman, Joy Imeribe, who allegedly poured hot water on her husband, has been charged before an Ikeja Chief Magistrate's court in Nigeria.

  The prosecutor, Insp, Clifford Ogu told the court that the accused's husband, Ibe, alleged that his wife arrived home late and when he asked her why she was coming back late, She became annoyed.

    Ogu continued, He said the following morning, The accused poured bolling water on her husband's body while he was eating breakfast.

    He said the husband was badly injured and was rushed to the hospital by kind hearted neighbours.

 The couple had been married for 13yrs and they have four children.

   The wife (accused) was arrested when the case was reported to the police.

  The accused, however pleaded not guilty to the charge.

  Chief Magistrate, Mr J.A Adegun, admitted the accused to bail with the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.

 He adjourned the case until July4 for further hearing (NAN).
